Michael Jordan was at least on of the best basketball players ever. His impressive NBA career started in 1984. From this year on he got his signature footwear. Designed especially for him. Direct from the manufacturer. The legendary Air Jordans. Timeless. Hot stuff. And my biggest weakness.
The third place of my best of Jordans list goes to the Air Jordan 4 Bred. Latter refers to its color way and means black and red. The shoe was launched in 1989 and designed by Tinker Hatfield. I generally love the silhouette of Jordan 4s and in case of the Bred the smooth nubuck leather.
Silver earns the Air Jordan 1 Royal. Born in 1984. Like me. A contemporary. Maybe this is the reason for my deep relationship to Jordan 1s. So many different pairs on my shelf. But the black and royal blue model still stands out. A royally beautiful design by Peter Moore.
But the Air Jordan 3 Black Cement stays on the throne. Tinker Hatfield’s first baby, born in 1984. In my opinion 3s are the Jordans par excellence. And not only unbeatable as black cement gray color way, also irresistible. The most beautiful Air Jordan of all times.
