Vienna bicycle convention

What’s going on between bicycles and me? Nothing. What has been going on? A little bit more: permanently damaged knees, shredded bikes and Tom Turbo. Please notice that I’m talking about my childhood.

However, I landed at the Wiener Fahrradschau yesterday. The event has its premiere in Vienna this year. It comes from Berlin and is something like the festival of the bicycle culture.

Shows and contests, exhibitions and many sales stands of bike brands. But the absolute highlight was the presentation of an original Vienna city bike. Heineken Ridentity was the name of the project. 23 crafts enterprises from all 23 districts created a joint prototype.

All in all a nice experience for me. A dive into a new world with surprising insights: I didn’t know that sports like bicycle polo exist and how much money you have to spend for a bike nowadays.
