BANNED

The Nike Air Jordan 1 in black and red. Michael Jordan got his first signature shoe in 1985. A short time later it was officially banned by the NBA because colored basketball shoes weren’t allowed. Michael kept on wearing them and had to pay 5000 Dollars per game.

This year Air Jordan number 31 was released. Nike chose the same colors of the legendary 1, put the original wings logo on the inside and integrated the lettering BANNED in the sole. Just to pay tribute to MJ’s first kicks.

AJ XXXI is my latest achievement at the footwear market. And my last one as well. I take the BANNED lettering seriously and will not buy further shoes in the near future. Just to be satisfied with that I have. And that’s more than enough.
